Once photos were received, they went through an overnight drying period prior to scanning. The top photo suffered significant water damage which started desolving the ink on the photo stock. You can clearly see this was working it’s way through the image. The frame was successfully removed. The frame is irretrievable because of extensive water damage and mold.

The portrait of the children faired better. The entire image is cardboard based and as such was soaked all of the way through. Once dried, the scanning process was fairly straight forward giving me something to work with.

Both images measure 20” x 15.5”
